You’ve got to give it to take it

Growing up, I am sure most of us have also been through our periods of distress or perhaps confusion regarding our sense of personality, but one great advice I had back then, which I will unselfishly pass on is that; you cannot get the better of your youthful chapter through discourtesy and needless effrontery…

…because at the end of the day, people, especially in whom you seek support and comfort, will see you not in how you feel about them, because that could be concealed, but in the way you conduct yourself towards them.

That said, just because you feel you’re too ambitious, too spirited, and overly dedicated to a job that you do NOT YET hold doesn’t warrant you to label everyone a “square peg in a round hole”.

Just because you commit few quotations about life, religion or the destiny of humanity from Einstein, Mandela or Lincoln to memory doesn’t make you more intellectual than anyone; it doesn’t establish the cliche: “not what you know, but whom you know”

Everyone can pretend to have an opinion about anything or even regularly aim at going against common thought even in needless circumstances; it could be true to you, it could as well just be a silly attempt to appear more intelligent, contemptuous or ‘whatever’ than everyone.

…but whatever it is, know that it is just your opinion; one that you can even use in defense to being told you’re wrong, but take heed, your defense becomes an offense the moment you use it to disrespect others.

You’ve got to give it to take it…‪#‎PEACE‬
