CAN YOU TELL THE FAKE FROM THE REAL?

There are over seven billion people on planet Earth, and it appears that every single one of them enjoys a life contrary to malice. Well, that’s the claim; we all appear to be totally opposed to jealousy, gossip, pretence, betrayal and two-facedness; in fact to all appearances, we all condemn the immoralities, particularly on social media.

Okay, let us assume we’re all saints, and all these imperfections are unanimously out of favour, now why isn't the world clean and tidy? Why are there so many knives at each other’s backs? Why is there so much false rumour and nosiness? Who are the snitches that tell on others? Who feeds the gossip tabloids to cold-heartedly destroy other people’s character? Why do some of us feel good when others are in a tight spot...and so on?

Do we want to say that all hypocrites, scandalmongers, blabbermouths, loose-mouths and okra-mouths that we all seem to find objectionable are invaders from outer space?

Oh! I get it; it has something to do with the devil, right? [Get out of my face] Couldn't it be the ‘Animal Farm’ type of hypocrisy; like some people having immunity to defy certain moral standards; or the case of a wrong not being wrong if it is done by people like us?

Sometimes I wish exposing falsehood was as easy as 123, so that some of us will be taught to forbear from emitting sweet-scented lies. [Exhales]
