WOLOF NJIE NAYNAH: ‘Kor nay “wuyul sa baay” du merr, wanteh kor nay “wuyul sa jekeuri yaay” mu merr’
MEANING: One may not feel annoyed when you ask him to ‘ANSWER TO HIS
DAD, but tell him to answer to ‘HIS MOTHER’S HUSBAND’ and see the rage
and lack of fire on his face.
The moral of my point being:
You may mean well, or aim at offering sincere suggestions about the
best course of action for someone, but the lack of tact and
consideration in your manner of speaking may tear down your good
intention
Be
tactful, save yourself the trouble of opening every conversation with
the words 'No offense’, or better still make your point without making
an enemy…
