Certain people have ‘jaundiced eyes’.... [I'll use jaundiced for want of a better portrayal]
…and not ‘jaundice’ as in the medical condition (icterus). I am talking
about some of us who can act gracious and sociable only when we’re
nobody’s choice, when we’re weirdly determined to penetrate some
prominence.
...but give some of us a ‘slice’ of that ‘cake’
that we’re always complaining about and see how wretchedly blind we can
become; at how quickly we'll not be able to remember all the change that
we had wished to see; at how less of a pain in the neck we can become…
[What a fat Irony :-P]
As a matter of fact, some of us can even become the worst of what we used to frown on.
P.S…. Generally, people with this kind of 'jaundiced eyes' will pretend
to tilt towards the humble people because they ain’t affluent yet;
whatever is well-heeled, which they’re not along with is at risk of
appearing unconstructive in their eyes.
Some will demonstrate
bitterness, cynicism and prejudice against everything seemingly VIP or
even knit their brows at the abilities of every TOP-NAME because they
ain’t BIGWIGS yet…
