Drama

Drama, beef and emotional outrage, if you don't want any, you better not ‪start any, and by “start” I mean if you don't ‪‎create any, you don't ‪associate with or ‪‎encourage any, then hopefully there won't be any.  I mean “HOPEFULLY” – like with a bit of luck, I know absolute avoidance is not easy, because nowadays, even forgetting to say ‘Hi’ to someone a can be construed as pompousness.

Anyway, if you value your sanity, you MUST separate yourself from these days’ pervasive pattern of extreme prejudice and 'badmind'; avoid people who’ll blow every ‘bomboclaat’ thing out of proportion just to hurt someone, as if their gladness is helpless without hard times for someone else.

Remember that some folks (male and female) can feign friendship in order to please their desire to create disharmony, and before you know anything, you’re backstabbed and blackmailed, and your mind is messed with.

One time I did a post on here, and I said there are people who are ‘drama-horny’; like they cannot control themselves when they really want to cause drama, and they’ll make sure they create one, even if it is going to be a storm in a teacup.

Truth Relativism

My friend ‘Skinny’ believes that the world of social media is his place of escape from conservative society, a space where he can meet and interact with a few admirable people, people of enormous rational ideas, people who’re like him, and are always ready to step in to create opportunities and to serve the world.

My other friend ‘Spoonhead’ alternatively believes that the world of social media is a bullshit invention, full of dreadfully awkward, air-headed, and ego-devastated drama kings and queens, who believe they’re the centre of universal attention, and everything they do or say must excite everyone's interest and concern

Funny, but I guess they’re both right. It is called "Truth Relativism", it is the overstanding that there are no absolute truths - that truth is always relative to some particular frame of reference” – so the decency or immorality of one’s use of social media is relative.

I guess both Skinny and Spoonhead must learn to live with the fact that individual preferences, comfort zones and ways of approaching life cannot be identical at all times. Even in the ‘Hood’, different ‘Weed-Heads’ will roll their ‘Joints’ in different ways, some love the blended ‘Spliff’ and others want it organic

God's Will

So it appears that even the effects of silliness, recklessness, idleness, aggression, deceitfulness, self exacted anguish, etc. can all count as the ‘Will of God’ (Ndogal)? - Naah! I don’t really think so. I believe sometimes we commit these things to God’s Will in order to tiptoe around responsibility.

Me, I may not know further than ‘Surah Ikhlas, Falaq and Naas’, but I think we sometimes unjustifiably make a scapegoat of the Most High’s Will. We don’t want to make a distinction between what He DIRECTS and what He only PERMITS.

DIRECTIVE-WILL as in those natural or physical laws governing the balance and processes of creation, and also divine commandments; like things that He said will occur, granting answer to acceptable prayer, meting out punishment to those who’ll fall short of his glory, granting glory to those who’ll believe, the span of one’s natural life, how He dispenses His unreserved Love, Mercy, Forgiveness etc.

Now let me give a picture of PERMISSIVE-WILL… say you had an exciting date and perhaps thought you should ‘hit it’, but because y’all fervently trust that ‘You Only Live Once’ (YOLO), young folks rely on that all the time to nourish their reckless pursuits, so you ‘boned’ it, paying no heed to Old School’s ‘No Glove No Love’ rule – A month later, she calls that she thinks she’s expecting, and you tensely turn to God in prayer, hoping that a miracle will happen.

Now since it was you that did what you did in the name of “YOLO”, wouldn't it be fair if God in retort also says “YOYO” (You’re On Your Own), now be man enough and claim responsibility? Exactly so, He only allowed what happened because of the constriction of your free-will, and perhaps your ignorance of the laws of cause and effect, which is no excuse… and I am not passing any judgement here!

News or Scandal?

So now it appears that news is only interesting when it is scandalous, or at the expense of reality? That’s it, trash talk and character detrimental gossips are the only news that can absolutely divert everyone’s attention nowadays, and to nothing but irrelevance and pettiness. come to think of it, is there any regard for tact and privacy left of this crazy world?

I swear down, if I had it my way, I'd strip off from this form and become a 7ft 10” Ape. That way, I perhaps wouldn’t be disturbed by humanity’s evident relapse and withdrawal from purposeful direction…but unfortunately and due to my belief in the spiritual account of creation, I know it is now too late.

Maybe, and just maybe someday, sanity will prevail and we’ll all live and overstand life like Steve Maraboli. He said “this life is for loving, sharing, learning, smiling, caring, forgiving, laughing, hugging, helping, dancing, wondering, healing, and even more loving”; he said he chooses to live life that way, because he wants to live his life in such a way that when he gets out of bed in the morning, the devil will say, 'Aw Shit, He's Up!”

I‪‎ndiscipline

Someone said “courtesy costs nothing, but buys everything” and I believe…these days unfortunately, when people fail to exercise civility and you rebuke their ‪‎indiscipline, you’re termed rude, particularly if they’re a little older; but who is more unmannerly than someone who cannot perform any gesture out of respect for others, someone who cannot even stand in line to responsibly wait for his turn, someone who’s all the time looking for an occasion to display superiority.

I am not ‪‎generalising, and I am not a big fan of meaningless etiquette, but when it comes to the observance of simple common rules and codes of decent conduct, I believe a lot of us are a sad failure, and it appears that no one wants to be reminded. People act as if not doing things right has become the newest form of sophistication.

Some of us cannot speak nicely, but we expect others to speak pleasantly to us. We want others to be friendly towards us, but we cannot do the same in return. We cannot show genuine interest in anything that’s not of personal benefit. We are neither kind with praises nor guarded about criticisms. Is like everyone is a king of his own kingdom, and no one wants to serve anyone, but everyone wants to use everyone.

The other day I decelerated to allow this pedestrian to cross the road, and she was walking like some constipated model walking a catwalk, and that kind of conduct is not uncommon. Go to the car park in the evening and see how chaotic it is. No one cares if someone is elderly, sick or pregnant. Younger folks will toss stuff through bus windows to take possession of a spot; or you'll see fifty-ten passengers all trying to get a spot on a 14seater van, causing avoidable strife

You give someone a ride and he gets to his destination, yells “Driver Mai Ma Fii”, and wouldn’t even bother to say ‘Thank You!”…Certain corporations, businesses and places of work have become showground for arrogance, with pompous clients and stuck-up customer care personnel and professionals. No one wants to accept a wrong, much less apologise.

Inferiority Complex

Those who take pleasure in humiliating others, especially in public and on account of a certain imperfection are just tiny-minded, and they do it with the purpose of hiding their own shortcomings.

If you ask me, their hostile conduct is in compensation for their own inadequacies, and to lift their desire to be noticed

DON’T GIVE IN.  As a matter of fact, there’s perhaps nothing wrong with you, your only crime is that your presence opens their eyes to their own wretchedness, the misery that they’re trying to hide. Let them decompose in their tiny-minded foolishness.

Blame Game

WOLOF:

‘Defa Sohor Rek, MunonNala Dimbaleh Nga Tuki’
‘Defla Banya Jox Ligeuye Rek, Moye Boss Bi Fofu’
‘Jekeuram Borom Baxa La, Defla Banya Def Si Jaama Rek’
‘Hamga Nyata Years Mungi Europe, Wye Dula Yorbu, Defa Wicked’
‘Mungfa Di Party Rek, Mbokam Yang Fi Di Bahal Kherr’
‘Korku Defa E’nyan, Borpam Rek, Hanna Ak Mboki Jabarram Yi’
‘Ki Bugut Ken Tekki, Wye Yallah Waxut Ken Dara’
‘Toubabam Bang Ko Yornay Aye Article, Wye Du Mayeh’

END OF WOLOF

These thoughts and so much more are so clichéd that they now make me sick, and I believe the moment of truth is long overdue. I believe only an uncaring person will blind his eyes and pretend to not knowing the sufferings of others, but I believe pointing finger at someone who’s in absolute clear of your troubles is also the pits of insensitivity.

I believe you wouldn't have an enemy more than yourself if you exonerate yourself from taking personal responsibility for your life. If you prefer to remain faithful to your prejudgements, expecting the entire human race to not only be of assistance, but to hand you the life you could've created for yourself, and if you’re not afforded the exact life you desire, or the one you think you deserve, you get down to blaming everyone, from God right down to the devil.

Believe this or not, ours is the ‘Helpageddon’, don’t look it up, it is not yet in the dictionary. It is the end of supportive-world, and no one should expect humanity to be as humanitarian as old times, trust me. So I guess the sooner we bring the blame game to an end the healthier for everyone.
In fact, sometimes you don’t know, the people that you think are preordained to alleviate your burdens have their own inconveniences; and just because they do not see any need to pressure others with their anguish, doesn't mean they’re all right.

Perhaps ruthless, but if truth be told, nobody is obligated or designed to be anybody’s guidebook. Nobody owes anybody anything, and whosoever volunteers to motivate anyone is only doing it for kindness’ sake. Just take it as a bonus and appreciate. I hope this piece causes no offence

You only get one life to live...

I’m sure some of you’ll remember my bashing of those kids who fervently trust that “you only live once” (YOLO), mostly to feed their desire ...
