Granted, he who laughs last may laugh longest, best or loudest, however you put it. But let us also not forget that some people laugh last not because the ironic twist of events is in their favour, but because they think slowest.
Like I once told y'all about the donkey syndrome; that the reason why the donkey keeps braying or hee-hawing when the rest of creation is sleeping is because it is slow on the uptake, and at night is when his faculty of remembering the fun things of the day is at work.
