Maybe the one you’re photoshopping your life for
or that one you’re in the habit of comparing yourself to, are also dying to be
like you. Perhaps that one you laugh at, thinking you’re better than, is just
not interested in snatched stardom but has more than necessary to have you drool
with desire.
Maybe those that you’re forcing friendship with
thinking they’re the big league and probably have it all, have more needs than
you. What if I tell you that every individual has a unique endowment and that
it will be easier to square a circle than be like someone with an entirely
different genetic gift?
Wouldn't it be more respectable and liberating to
appreciate yourself or try to do better than your current self, than trying to
be better than someone you barely know? What if I tell you that one day you’ll
be sorry for having nothing to be proud of simply because you spent your useful
life fantasising and yearning without cause?
Now call me ‘enyan’ if you like, but really, if
the definition of the word rich isn't changed yet, then here, a lot of people we
call “rich” are just ‘chapteh,’and a lot of folks you meet on Facebook, Twitter,
Instagram, on the beach or in the club thinking they’re living large ‘amunj tuss,
denj mun deka bi rek.’ I could name some of them if I want to, but I am a ‘sutura’
sort of guy.
