Goodness!

Being afforded goodness in the midst of badness is sometimes a pain, especially when it feels like everyone is working against you, like everyone is waiting for you to make a mistake, so they can fall down laughing and talking about it, but no commendable thing that you do will ever be talked about.

Devoted busybodies won’t let you be, and even if you choose to stay disconnected to mind your own business, someone that you don’t know from anywhere will stalk you, looking for something to be offended by. Some who did well out of your goodness will relegate themselves to ingrates, stripping off everything you did for them just because you took one tiny misstep towards them.

Some will waste valuable time doing things that they know you don’t like, but they’ll do it with intent to ruin your day. Bearers of misery will force some form of alliance with you, whilst cunningly trying to talk you out of your dreams of enhanced goodness and with the intention to add your clean breed to their dirty creed.

HEAR ME! Once you have goodness, once you can separate yourself from greed and wickedness, live honestly, speak of what’s right and keep your tongue under control; once you don’t wrong others on purpose and don’t take pleasure in hurting feelings or damaging reputations, THEN YOU’RE SAFE. Rest assured that no malicious conduct, hostility or grudging prejudice can harm you, and no trap or roadblock fashioned by man against you shall prosper.
