Social media has made us too generous for my liking, and I mean generous
with information. Is like everyone's under some kind of compulsion to babble on
about everything, hoax or legit it doesn't matter, and even when we obviously
don't have much clue.
We have become so passionate about that irrelevant credit that comes
with being the ‘FIRST’ to say something, which I guess makes us feel like we’re
on top of everything; like we know a little something that others don't know.
Is like everyone's trying to have that undivided right to say: “I said it
first”, “I saw it first“, “I had it first" or “I did it first" and
that can be very misleading.
O.K fine, it may be a good thing, but the fact that it has now turned
into a competition makes it so creepy. For in the end, we may not bother to
substantiate our sources or to exercise caution in volunteering what we want to
let others in on, for fear that someone else may beat us to it, and render our
version unappetising.
Listen to Bob Marley: "Somebody plays the wrong domino and wants
the world to follow … why you play the bad card - now we catch you off guard -
somebody plays the wrong domino and causes the rest to follow”
Who colt
