If you pretend to be of help, service or benefit to others, whilst being
evil all the time, and invariably breaking faith with those that you pretend to
be of help to, you’re a hypocrite...If you ask me, both the hypocrite and the
toady do not only need to refrain, but must ask for forgiveness – I’ll suggest ‘Istighfar’
at least 100 times a day and starting now.
If others have to go the extra mile out of selfless concern for your
well-being and you cannot appreciate that, but instead choose to find fault
with how much more you think they could’ve done for you, you’re ungrateful. Your
fix doesn’t require spiritual intervention. You only need to get yourself out
of that unthankful zone and get a life - start living a fuller existence.
You may be full of good intentions for your friends, but the fact that
you’re always painfully desirous of what they’ve become, or feel somewhat resentful
as soon as they hit upon a certain gain means you’ve have jealousy in you, but
that’s perhaps not your fault, it’s your heart that’s dreadfully infected – you
only need a strong dose of spiritual antiseptics.
